Field Engineering at Tractian
Tractian’s Field Engineering team brings our technology to life on the plant floor. Our engineers install, commission, and optimize our sensors and systems inside some of the most demanding industrial environments in the world, turning a signed contract into a working solution that delivers value from day one. Working on-site with maintenance and operations teams at industry leaders like Tesla, Micron, John Deere, and Bosch, they make sure every deployment is fast, reliable, and built to last.
What you'll do
As a Field Engineer, you will be the face of our company at client locations, responsible for installing our products, providing on-site support, and ensuring their long-term success. You’ll work directly with maintenance technicians, mechanics, electricians, reliability engineers, and plant leadership to install, configure, and successfully implement Tractian’s hardware and software solutions.
This is a field-based role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with industrial equipment, and interacting directly with customers. You’ll visit manufacturing and industrial facilities, evaluate equipment, develop installation plans, install sensors and gateways, troubleshoot technical issues, train customers, and ensure projects are completed safely and successfully.
FSEs are expected to take ownership of their projects, work independently in the field, and represent Tractian professionally at customer sites.
