Our sales team connects industrial problems with technology that helps manufacturers avoid downtime. Account Development Representatives research customers, start conversations and uncover opportunities for the wider sales team.
What You Will Do
Build the foundations of a career in B2B technology sales with our Atlanta team. You will contribute to prospecting, practice discovery and learn to connect Tractian's capabilities to a customer's business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Research manufacturers, facilities and decision-makers to identify accounts and relevant reasons to reach out.
- Prepare and conduct phone, email and LinkedIn outreach with guidance from the sales team.
- Practice discovery questions, respond to objections and explain the business impact of equipment downtime.
- Keep HubSpot research and follow-up accurate; track agreed goals and improve your approach through coaching.
Requirements
- An undergraduate junior or senior, or a master's student, interested in sales or business development. Students from any major may apply.
- Clear written and verbal communication, active listening and willingness to initiate conversations.
- Evidence of pursuing a challenging goal, handling setbacks and acting on feedback.
- Reliable follow-through, strong organization and curiosity about how a technical product solves customer problems.
Helpful Experience
Sales coursework or competitions, customer-facing work, fundraising, athletics, entrepreneurship or student leadership. CRM experience is useful. Prior professional sales experience and an engineering degree are not required.
