Operations at TRACTIAN
The operations team is responsible for turning our IoT devices into reality. We strive to make the impossible possible and are deeply goal-oriented. We integrate hardware, production, quality, and supply and we're in charge of the whole manufacturing process of our hardware, from the purchase of components to the final adapting of our devices to meet strict international criteria.

What you'll do
The Mechanical Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical components used in production meet the defined quality requirements. You will play a crucial role in evaluating and verifying the compliance of components at various stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring that the final products meet established quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on mechanical components according to established quality control guidelines.

  • Utilize measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines to verify the dimensional accuracy of components.

  • Evaluate the quality of materials used in components, including hardness tests, strength tests, and other mechanical tests as necessary.

  • Identify and document any deviations or non-conformities from technical specifications.

  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and propose improvements in manufacturing processes.

  • Participate in assembly and fitting tests of components to ensure their proper integration into final products.

  • Conduct random inspections during the manufacturing process to monitor the consistency of quality.

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and component compliance.

  • Participate in quality review meetings and contribute feedback to enhance quality control procedures.

  • Provide inspection reports and analyses of quality trends to the management team.

Requirements

  • Technical education in mechanical or a related field.

  • Solid knowledge of measurement techniques and instruments used in mechanical inspections.

  • Ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions.

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.

  • Basic knowledge of software tools for inspection recording and report generation.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and ISO 14001 environmental management systems.

  • Familiarity with ISO 2768 and quality assurance methods.

  • Intermediate Excel skills.
