Design and conduct electrical tests such as signal integrity, power loading, and EMC using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other data acquisition systems.
Implement embedded firmware for microcontrollers to simulate operational conditions during testing and to create novel test equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot circuit issues with multimeters, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators.
Collaborate with design engineers to refine PCB layouts and improve circuit performance based on test findings.
Document all testing procedures, results, and recommendations for improvements.
Ensure compliance with electronic safety standards and regulations.
Stay up to date with advancements in electronic testing methodologies and equipment.
3+ years of experience in electronic hardware testing, validation, and debugging.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, programmable power supplies, climate chambers).
Experience with PCB design using EDA tools (Altium, KiCad).
Knowledge of PCB design validation, including requirements testing and performance assessment.
Strong background in analog, digital, and power electronics.
Understanding of EMI/EMC standards and compliance testing.
Proficiency with simulation software (LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, Keysight ADS).
Experience with test automation (Python scripting, LabVIEW).
Ability to perform statistical analysis on simulated or acquired test data.
Experience with RF testing and wireless communication standards (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G).
Familiarity with accelerated test methodologies (HALT, HASS, ALT).
Knowledge of DFx methodologies (Design for Test, Reliability, Manufacturability).
Contributions to open-source hardware projects or electronics communities.
